Warung Mina Candidasa

Really really good Grilled Fish in Candidasa, Reasonable price and the price mentioned also for whole fish not sliced... They cooked it slowly, and slow with affordable price means good food! It's too good, fresh grilled and not over seasoned, the udang asam manis is my fav, they cooked it with pineapple. A very nice and calm place to have lunch!!

Truly our life savior against hunger! We traveled to this area in one evening in the weekend during the pandemic and as we drove from Taman Ujung, Karangasem, in the middle of the heavy rain, we were so tired and super hungry. Many restaurants are either permanently closed due to the pandemic or simply close early. Then along the way, we found this restaurant and really enjoyed the food. The place is not so big but clean and comfortable. The food they have also covers a lot of varieties, including Indonesian traditional food, especially bellies, as well as western food such as pizza, spaghetti, fried chicken and more. We ordered fried rice, fried Gurame or carp fish, fish soup, cap cay or sautéed vegetables , lumpia or veggie roll, and pizza plus spaghetti for my kids. The food are delicious and it comes fast. The staff is really friendly as well. It has adequate parking lot and it is located by the street. So you won’t miss it. The entrance is disability friendly, as well as the chair and tables. The price is very friendly as well. I wish they have more soups in the menu!

Had grilled chicken package, it was delicious. Great smokey flavour on the chicken and the accompanying salad with hot spicy sauce was fantastic. Also had pizza which was very good. Good price. Highly recommended.

Agree with many of the other reviews that this place is totally underrated. The meal I had was SO DELICIOUS, seriously one of the tastiest I can remember having had on many trips to Bali. I had ayam bakar (grilled chicken) which had a delicious flavour and had been cooked on hot coals which gave it a gorgeous smoky taste. I also had sautéed kangkung (water spinach) which was fantastic. If you’re looking to have authentic Balinese food and avoid all of the bland tourist food, you need to come here!

Much like everyone else’s and experience, there are not many choices to eat around these parts in terms of warungs as the majority are closed. This was one of the first places that we found to be quite solid on the fact that there is ample seating and it is outdoor which brings in a nice breeze. The menu is pretty solid with a variety of Indonesian and western dishes so there is a lot to choose from. As my partner and I were craving chicken we both ended up ordering the Paket Ayam Goreng which is fried chicken leg with rice and some side veggies for 55k. The chicken was fried nicely where the skin was crispy and the meat was tender. It’s a pretty average experience where you know the food will be good and it is nothing out of the ordinary. The staff overall was pretty nice and attentive and the kitchen was quite quick with pushing out our food. She even showed us the side veggies that it came with which was very nice of the chef. The most important thing to note is that it is very clean and the food was cooked well.

Really friendly team that’s works here, you can see they’re a tight nit family that is very hospitable towards visitors and wants to share with them the beautiful Bali culture and cuisine! Food is amazing! Especially the grilled garumi - we haven’t had it better anywhere else!

Awesome food, cooked to order, sweet service staff. The extra time for your dishes to be BBQed over corn husks make it special. Ate here three times over a week because it’s so good.

Great tasting food, well presented and at a good price. This place is underrated and as Warung go in Candidasa certainly the best surroundings and most pleasant place to sit. Pork ribs were beautifully cooked (and nice to see them being grilled on the BBQ at the front of the Warung over coconut husks). My wife had beautiful chicken that was wonderfully tender. Highly recommended.
